ME Loudness Maximizer is a specialized effect designed to boost signals
as well as increase the perceived level of the audio signal.
ME Spectralizer enhances and synthesizes high-end frequencies to and that special sparkle to the audio.
ME FreeFilter is a 30-band equalizer that can analyze the EQ curve of an
existing audio file, and match that for a different one. This is
accomplished with the Learn-Source/Destination fuction.
ME Compressor is a multi-band equalizing compressor with up to five
different freely-adjustable bands. This allows you to tighten bottom-end
frequencies, while making the higher frequencies crisper and give your
sound more punch. Next, we provided two top-notch analysis tools -
ME SpectroGraph which allows you to pin-point specific trouble
frequencies so that you can take them out with some careful notch
filtering.
ME PhaseScope will immideatly display any phase issues that are present
in a mix, as well as displaying signal energy in the stereo field.

Deft Compressor is an audio signal compressor plug-in for professional
audio production applications. The characteristic feature of this
compressor…

is its ability to produce “slim” and “slick” sounding compression, with
intelligibility enhancement effect. Such result is achieved by
compressor’s
timing function that closely resembles the S-curve on both attack and
release stages. S-curve timing function also helps compressor to sound
“warm”
and “clean” at most settings.

While at high attack settings Deft Compressor can be used to emphasize
audio transients, it can also be used to “smash” audio signal if you use
attack settings as low as 0.1 millisecond.

Deft Compressor also features a so called “vintage” compression mode
which produces compression sound reminiscent of analog valve
compressors:
it produces a warm, gently saturated sound with the ability to overdrive the output signal.

Deft Compressor is perfectly usable for compressing vocals, drums,
guitars and other instruments, both technically and creatively.

One of the more interesting plugin releases of 2010’s forth quarter came
from the German based company SPL in the form of a digital recreation
of their masterpiece passive equalizer unit named Passeq. Being a
digital recreation and emulation of an actual hardware unit it shares
the same name as it’s real world brother and the GUI also looks just
like the outboard unit. With exception for the A,B,C,D preset buttons
and the M/S and Link buttons that aren’t present on the outboard unit.

The equalizer has separate controls and switches for left and right
channel (or mid/side channel if you engage that), the controls for each
channel are laid out in a snowflake-like pattern. The somewhat unusual
pattern compared to other EQ’s can be a little confusing and hard to
grasp at first, but after a few sessions with it you notice that it’s
mostly a matter of getting used to it. For mono tracks, mixing session
and/or when you don’t need separate controls for L/R or M/S there’s also
a version where you get single controls and half of the user interface.

The base for the control pattern is a big output attenuation knob, to
the right of it sits three filters for boosting frequencies and to the
left three filters for cutting frequencies. Above the center attenuation
knob there’s also a Q (bandwidth) control for the high frequency boost
filter, the other filters are fixed bandwidth.
